How we approach it
Damaged boards, water damage, squeaks and lifted planks — repaired to blend in.
Not every floor problem is a whole-floor problem. A burst supply line under a sink, a dropped cast iron pan, a section of plank that lifted at a doorway, a stair tread that announces itself at midnight — these are repairs, and treating them as replacements is an expensive habit.
We take out the damaged section, deal with whatever caused it — because a water-damaged board with a leak still above it will fail again — and weave the replacement in so the repair is not the first thing your eye finds when you walk into the room.
Blending is the hard part and we are honest about it. On an older floor, new material almost never matches perfectly straight away; sometimes the right answer is a repair plus a refinish of that room so the whole floor comes back to one color. We will tell you which outcome to expect before you commit.

Floor Repairs — the things people ask
Can you match my existing floor?
Often, close enough that you would have to be told where the repair is — especially if we can pull matching boards from a closet or under an appliance. On a floor that has aged or faded, a repair plus refinishing that room is what actually gets you an invisible result. We will be straight with you about which applies.
My floor squeaks. Is that expensive to fix?
Usually not. Most squeaks come from movement between the floor and the subfloor or a joist, and can be fixed from above with the right fasteners. We will diagnose it before quoting so you are not paying for guesswork.
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. Every project starts with a free, no-obligation estimate. We measure the space, talk through your material options and give you a written price before any work is scheduled.
